Collen, working for Bartra Capital is developing The Sidings, a new 10-storey over basement office development in Dublin with a gross floor area of 19,856 sq.m and designed to LEED Platinum certification.

 

Collen brought Relinea on board to supply and install our GRP Riser Guard system throughout, along with a Roof Plant Platform, and ESB Cable Ducts. Having worked closely with Relinea on a number of previous projects, Collen was well aware of the benefits of GRP as a material, and the top-quality workmanship our design, manufacturing, and installation teams bring to every job.

 

Our team has already started installing the risers on site. Riser voids pose one of the biggest threats to safety on any large-scale construction site. With 18 years of industry experience under our belts, we have developed specifically designed solutions to suit a variety of flooring arrangements.

 

Along with all the usual benefits of GRP such as its high strength-to-weight ratio, anti-slip properties, impact resistance, and non-conductivity, there are numerous reasons why Riser Guard makes the perfect solution:

The building will have setbacks at 5th, 6th and 7th floors, each containing roof terraces providing amenity space. The ground floor will include a reception, foyer, office areas and staff facilities with a mezzanine level providing open plan offices, plant area and storage facilities. The building provides 8 floors of open plan office space around a centralised core. Works will also include hard and soft landscaping, external lighting, a service area with ESB substations and switch rooms, bin store and bicycle storage and the provision of 25 car parking spaces at basement level.
